ABOUT

OUR STORY
The Goat Ranch, located in South Greenfield, Missouri, is a premier Western event venue built for big experiences.

Owned and operated by husband-and-wife, Josh and Jordan Spain, the ranch has become a sought-after destination for fans of Western culture and live entertainment alike. With expansive pastures, rolling hills, and miles of space dedicated to guests and spectators, the ranch provides a setting unlike any other venue in the Midwest.

For Josh and Jordan, The Goat Ranch represents more than a business, it is their family's legacy. As their three children become more involved, the ranch remains grounded in its commitment to family, community, and creating experiences that bring people back year after year. From the beginning, The Goat Ranch has been built by more than one family. Matt Irwin and Paul Ackels have played an integral role in its growth; along with friends who stood alongside the Spains from day one, becoming family in every sense of the word.

What began as a vision in an open field has evolved into a family-friendly destination situated on a 2,500-acre working cattle ranch. The Goat Ranch draws thousands of attendees each year, offering something for everyone.

The ranch hosts the Baker-Spain Stampede, its flagship event, established in 2017. The Stampede started as a single gathering and has since grown into a week-long, large-scale experience. The grounds remain open all week for on-site camping, concerts Wednesday through Saturday, two days of chuckwagon racing, and a wide range of additional attractions.

In 2020, Party in the Pasture was introduced, expanding the ranch’s event offerings with a signature fall weekend experience, combining rodeo events, a Saturday night concert, and a vibrant atmosphere.
Together, these events capture the spirit and energy that define The Goat Ranch.

The story of The Goat Ranch continues to evolve, and now it is being shared with a broader audience. Building Spain, a documentary series chronicling the journey behind the ranch, is set to premiere on The Cowboy Channel in April 2026.
